Me and Comics I have been an on-and-off comic book fan for many years now, but only recently started picking them up regularly again with the DC relaunch. I've always been a bit more of a DC fan than Marvel, but the massive continuity has been a bit intimidating for me, so the relaunch has been a decent starting point for me and has also got me interested in reading older stuff. I don't really have a single favorite book, but some of my favorites are Watchmen as well as almost anything by Alan Moore. Grant Morrison is a bit more hit-or-miss with me but I really enjoyed All Star Superman. The weekly series 52 is one of my favorites as well as James Robinson's Starman books and his new maxi-series about the Shade. From the relaunch I am really enjoying the new Animal Man as well as Demon Knights. Gail Simone is another favorite author and I really loved Secret six and am currently enjoying her new Batgirl series. Batman is probably my favorite hero out of DC's line-up but my favorite runs with him would probably be anything Scott Snyder has written (Gates of Gotham, his run on Detective Comics, and his current Court of Owls arc) as well as Frank Miller's Year One. I enjoyed Battle for the Cowl and d--- Grayson's time as Batman too despite some complaints others have had about it. From the Marvel side I really enjoy Deadpool and have been collecting many of the Deadpool team-up issues. I also enjoyed Ultimate Spiderman for a while before Ultimatum and the relaunch of those books. So overall, there is a pretty big variety of titles I enjoy.
