Based on the box office returns of comic book related motion pictures, an argument can be made for the greatest comic book related movie superhero. But who could it be in the minds of the fans? Are there films that may not have fared as well that should be considered?

So far, the top films up until 2011 by superhero are:

Batman - "The Dark Knight"
Spiderman - "Spiderman 3"
Iron Man - "Iron Man 2"
X-Men - "X-Men: The Last Stand"
